During the month of April, students got time off of school to enjoy the much-appreciated spring break. During this break many families go out of town seeking warmer weather for the week, possibly even longer. Regardless of what you are doing for spring break, we are all glad to be off school.
The week we come back to school is one of the best and most fun weeks of the school year. The first few days aren’t awesome, but we got to look forward to the student versus staff basketball game at the end of the week.
This is the game where the staff, administrators and teachers, etc., play against the eighth grade boys and girls basketball teams. The staff managed to squeeze out a 43-38 win.
In order to attend this game, students must pay $2. The cost for the game has always been used for a good cause, such as getting more basketball hoops, a speaker for the gym or the bathing suit dryers in the boys and girls locker rooms. Those are just the ones I personally know about.
In addition to the exciting basketball game, we had the bonus of having a four-day school week because of Good Friday.
Coming back to school after one of the final breaks of the year means testing. We have finals coming up sooner than we think, so now’s the time to get prepared.
