Annual can collection a big success
Arthur’s Middle School students have done it again by reaching their goal of 5,000 cans donated to the Goodfellows can drive. Each year AMS students will bring cans into their fourth-hour class (home-room), these cans then go to our head administration and are donated to the Goodfellows organization. Every can we donate will help improve someone’s holiday season.
Our goal of 5,000 cans is created for a few reasons. Five thousand is a great amount of food that can be donated to those who are less fortunate and the more we can collect the better. Also, if we are able to reach our goal of 5,000 cans than we get off of school an hour earlier on the Friday before the break. This way everybody gets a little gift this holiday season.
Students are also preparing to enjoy their break from school as we get closer to Christmas and New Years. Arthur’s is having a fun or maybe even funny holiday dress up every Friday for the remaining two weeks before we get off for break. Our first Friday was Christmas pajama day. Our second Friday is going to be similar but yet slightly different. Either way, we will all be enjoying our time off of school.
