Trenton City Administrator Jim Wagner is known throughout Downriver and the southeastern Michigan region as someone who knows how to bring people together to get things done. His knack for building relationships and partnerships will be greatly missed.
Wagner recently announced that he plans to retire on Feb. 28, after six years as Trenton’s Administrator and more than three decades of public service, including eight years as the mayor of Wyandotte.
Trenton Deputy Administrator and Human Resources Director Scott Church will assume the City Administrator’s role on March 1. Wagner is pleased with the choice.
“I’m happy for who I’m leaving in charge,” he said. Wagner also said he won’t be far away and will help in the transition if needed. [Read more…]
