Last year, art club did not run; but this year, Art Club is in full swing at Trenton High School. There are 46 current members. Mrs. Weaver and Mrs. Skrynzski are the club advisors. Art Club was created because they felt that class was too short to get everything they wanted done. There are several fun things that get left out due to lack of time.
Art Club meets every two weeks in Mrs. Weaver’s room. The club does a variety of projects. The most common ones though are tangible items that kids can take home, like tie-dyed t-shirts. The main goal is to get kids to have fun creating art, and show them it can be very fun and healthy for your brain.
“Going to art club is definitely the highlight of my week, I love having something fun and creative to look forward to,” senior Laine Carmona stated.
Everyone in the club gets along very well and enjoys one another.
“Art Club is so much fun,” said junior Ally Clark. “We get to paint a lot and I absolutely love painting.” Art Club is always accepting new members and is a fun way to get involved.
This year’s fall play was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Auditions were in early September and many students came to try out for a part. The cast was released the following day and the student actors could not have been more excited. [Read more…]
