Time to get in the “Swim” of things! The pool at the Water’s Edge complex opens June 15 with the Last Day of School Pool Party.
June is a month of many exciting happenings. Flag Day is June 14, the anniversary of the day in 1777 when Congress formally adopted the Stars and Stripes as our nation’s National Flag. How wonderful that we can put up our flags, large or small, a way of showing respect for our country. Display your flag proudly.
Father’s Day is June 18, usually the third Sunday in June, a day to honor our fathers. Happy Father’s Day to all fathers. Have a great day.
Summer Solstice happens about June 22, the time of the sun’s passing the solstice, the point of the ecliptic at which the sun is farthest from the equator, the northern limit of the sun’s course in its declination.
