Forty-two seniors from Grosse Ile High School were recently named Huron League Scholar Athletes. To earn this distinction, a student must be a senior, must be awarded a Varsity letter in the sport they are competing in, and most importantly, must maintain a grade-point average of 3.0 of higher.
Grosse Ile’s fall scholar athletes listed by sport include: Boys Cross Country: Aaron Amaya, Domenic Concessi, Andrew Elliott, Andrew Hoying, Quentin Jensen, Brendan Kaiser, James Klarr, Joshua Ochab, and Kiernan O’Connor; Girls Cross Country: Kathryn Kosztowny, Diana Nunez, and Madison Swick; Equestrian: Alicia Bondar; Football: Collin Bammer, Harrison Cowan, Garrett Davis, Riley Lowler, Kenneth Marx, Jack McGrath, Austin McNeil, Michael Moco, Logan Watson, Lewis Will, and Chase Yops; Girls Golf: Lily Whitty.
Sailing: Michael Kalata; Girls Swimming: Andrea Blanzy, Kathleen Christnagel, Sara Cook, Anna Finazzo, Abigayle McNeill, Carlin Percha, and Yasmin Uresti; Boys Soccer: Nicholas Aston, David Cardinal, and Logan Watson; Volleyball: Hannah Champnella, Kaitlyn Clum, Elizabeth Frucci, Gabriela Munoz, and Kyra Stafford.
